Type-Moon revealed on Sunday that the Melty Blood: Type Lumina 2D fighting game will add the Fate/Grand Order characters Ushiwakamaru and the Count of Monte Cristo as free DLC characters on Thursday. A patch will also be available on the same day, adding Spanish, French, and Portuguese text support for the game; four new color palettes for all existing characters; new words for title customization; 10 remastered music tracks from Melty Blood: Actress Again; and a new Boss Rush mode with a story penned by Type-Moon’s Kinoko Nasu.

Ushiwakamaru is the youth name of Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune, one of the most famous warriors in Japanese history. A samurai general during the 12th-century Genpei war, Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune helped topped the Taira clan, paving the way for the Minamoto to establish the shogunate system that would rule Japan in some capacity for the next seven hundred years. Ushiwakamaru played a prominent role in the story and anime adaptation of Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia. She’s voiced by Saori Hayami (Yor in Spy x Family, Archer of Red in Fate/Apocrypha, Shinobu in Demon Slayer)
