New Mechanic: Dash Attack
A quick attack that can be performed while dashing-close the gap and keep the pressure on with different variations using light, medium, and heavy attacks. Some characters have dash attacks that can be chained into combos or used to catch blocking foes off guard!
L – Quickly apply pressure while moving forward.
M – For Gran is a low-hitting poke that can be used to catch standing foes off guard.
H – Has the slowest start-up and recovery, but can be chained into a combo for big damage!
New Mechanic: New Triple Attacks
Just like the original Auto Combo system from Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Triple Attacks can be performed by pushing an attack button three times in a row. The third hit, however, can now be changed to an overhead or low attack depending on your input. Use them to open up a defensive foe and keep your pressure going!

Tactical Move: Rush – “Rush” is an aggressive dash that consumes 50 percent of the SBA gauge. Use it to close the distance between you and your opponent. Dash is strike-invincible just after startup. However, projectiles are still effective. Perfect your timing to dodge and approach at the same time. The maneuver can also be linked with normal attacks for combo extension.
Tactical Move: Backshift – “Backshift” is a defensive backstep that consumes 50 percent of your SBA gauge. It provides invincibility from startup onward. Activate with a regular press, or by holding back and L2. This will allow you to rise and Backshift almost simultaneously, avoiding okizeme. Use this technique to open up distance.
Overdrive
Overdrive is a once per round mega buff. Ready to use when the SBA gauge reaches 100 percent and the Overdrive icon begins flashing. Invincible on startup, it’s useful for evasion. Receive various enhancements while the Overdrive gauge is active, such as:
Unleash your SBA or SSBA at any time (resets Overdrive gauge to 0). The Overdrive gauge depletes over time. Taking damage will also result in losing one-third of your Overdrive gauge.
General Changes
• Walk Speed – Walk speed is now faster (except for Ferry and Metera).
• Backwards Recovery – The overall move time has been reduced, putting it in line with “Neutral Recovery” (The distance moved backwards has also been slightly reduced).
• Command inputs during hitstop – The priority system for commands during inputs has been changed. Previously, the system prioritized “latest input”, but now it will instead prioritize via the input priority system in place in the game normally. When two moves that have the same level of priority are read as input, the move which was input later will be proritized..
• CPU – For characters which have two Skybound Arts, the CPU will now prioritize using the Strike version of said Skybound Art. For example, Ladiva will now use the Love Max Bomber (Strike version) and Ferry will now use Vergiften.

Having wrested the Versus Core from Beelzebub and plunged into his own body, Avatar Belial wields the immense powers of a deity with little need for mortal weaponry anymore. Now intoxicated with this newfound power to facilitate his destructive impulses, not even the decay of his mortal body can stop him from obliterating the skies.
Current lord of Albion Citadel, Vira was raised in the fortress city alongside Katalina, who she considers to be her sister. She’s a little obsessed with her, actually, claiming that her razor-sharp decision-making skills and swordsmanship are all ultimately to be used on Katalina’s behalf. She emerged victorious against Katalina in a duel for the lord’s throne 6 years ago, and has been Albion’s Lord Commander ever since.
Besides Vira, the trailer also showed the next character as Avatar Belial, a superpowered form of the character Belial who fights differently from the original one.
he was described as a character with extremely powerful offense but much lower defense than most characters in the game and explained as “can actually die from one combo, but his damage makes up for it”, making him sound like a very scary prospect indeed.
It was also stated that Avatar Belial pays with HP for doing EX moves, but in exchange his cooldowns on them are lower than for most other characters. The developers also noted that Avatar Belial, who already appears as a boss in RPG mode, was meant to only be used as a boss character in single player modes, but they ended up converting him into a playable character.
The game will also be available as two new versions, a greatest hits one and a Legendary edition one, with dlcs and season passs included.
