Kula Diamond announced for The King Of Fighters 15. (Team Krohnen is full)

Before being a killer, Kula is a child. While working for NESTS or for Diana and Foxy, she would not fail to kill anyone she finds unworthy. During her time with NESTS, her feelings were repressed, as she was portrayed as a cold girl executing her mission. She has since been defrosted into being more childish as of late.

Kula is trying hard to establish herself as a humane person, so people don’t look at her as if she is some kind of weapon, she doesn’t use her powers to full extent so she doesn’t kill anyone by accident, because she fears that it would make her go back to her previous ways, so she prefers close combat instead; Kula is usually worried about her foes upon defeating them at times.

Despite being this sweet innocent girl, she tends to have some anger management issues. They are mostly the results of people either talking down to her, underestimating her, or reminding her of her origins and calling her a weapon. She also gets angry whenever she sees flames.

Maxima is here for The King of Fighters XV, Team K’ is now complete.

「THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV」に参戦するサイボーグ戦士“マキシマ”のトレイラーが公開に。K´&ウィップと“K´チーム”を結成

Maxima is very serious about duty and business. He is a very honorable man who suffered greatly when Rocky died. He sees K’ as a new Rocky and calls him “Aibou” (“Partner”). He usually has to apologize for his partner’s rudeness with a humble attitude. His mellow nature seems to belie his age, as several characters mistake him for being a few years older than he really is.

The Type-M fighting style probably created for (or by) Maxima focuses on striking, grappling and the use of Maxima’s weapons. Most of his attacks have autoguard, making Maxima capable of blocking when attacking. His style employs a combination of striking combinations and grappling. Some of his moves seem to be inspired by pro wrestling, with him being able to do a dropkick, a Mongolian chop, a bear hug/suplex combination and a somersault senton.

Maxima also has an array of built-in weapons, which he uses to increase his fighting ability. His main weapon is the M-4 Vapor Cannon, a steam-powered impact cannon which is designed to deliver powerful punches that can send an unprepared opponent flying. The Vapor Cannon may also negate projectiles thrown at Maxima. A variation of the cannon is the M19 Blitz Cannon, which Maxima uses as an anti-air move. He jumps (with or without his jets) towards an airborne opponent, places his right arm on the enemy and activates his arm cannon, which sends the opponent flying to the ground. Maxima also has a pair of built-in jets on his feet, which he can use to quickly move forward in a line, or to jump.

Maxima uses his feet propulsions and his body weight to great impact to create the Bunker Buster move. He propels himself upward and falls on his enemy, which creates a severe shockwave, capable of sending nearby, unprepared opponents flying skyward. His Maxima Revenger move, consists of him grabbing his opponent, hitting him with a knee and throwing him into the air. When he falls, Maxima concentrates all his strength in his head, and headbutts him once or repeatedly.

One of Maxima’s strongest weapons is the MX-II Final Cannon. The MX-II is a powerful energy gun originally capable of firing a big projectile of raw energy. Maxima has modified the cannon to create the MX-IIb version, that instead fires a potent laser beam. Maxima also has a built-in energy cannon on his chest, which is directly powered by the small-sized nuclear reactor inside him. This chest cannon is probably Maxima’s greatest weapon and strongest attack. With it, Maxima was, in the past, able to fire a short ranged, but powerful beam of pure energy. Now, Maxima’s chest cannon has increased in power tremendously. He is now able to use it to fire a gigantic blue energy beam, capable of leveling buildings and his opponents alike.

King of Fighters 15, Krohnen, was revealed at the Game Awards

Krohnen and second beta test revealed for King of Fighters 15

This brand new character appears to be able to manipulate and shapeshift his arm to become a myriad of different weapons including blades, guns, and even a massive machine-like claw. He is also able to manifest fire in some capacity, as we see him ignite his foe with one of his attacks.

He dons what looks like motorcycle riding gear as he wears leather a long sleeved leather jacket, black pants, and red wind shielding glasses. He has a somewhat tattered red cape around his neck, which contrasts nicely with his deep blue hair.

We only get a line or two of dialogue, but he seems to be the kind of young, cocky competitor we’ve seen more than a few times in fighting game history.

Angel trailer for The King of Fighters 15

Ángel is a lighthearted, flirtatious, and playful individual who behaves like a cat, in spite of her working status as an assassin for NESTS prior the organization disbandment. She is also quite violent and sadistic.

  • Motorcycle Driving – Angel likes to drive motorcycles.
  • Soccer – Ángel often plays soccer as a goalkeeper.

Fighting style

Ángel’s fighting style incorporates elements of both Muay Thai (as seen in her stance and some of her kicks) and professional wrestling.

waifu Whip is confirmed for The King of Fighters 15

She was planned to enter the series in The King of Fighters ’96 but was pushed back to The King of Fighters ’99 due to Leona Heidern’s introduction. The developers wanted her to contrast Leona who exposes comparatively more skin, while Whip sports less revealing but body-hugging fashions that leave a little more to the imagination. The designers hoped that she would be accepted as an independent, whip-brandishing character rather than just another member of the Ikari Team. They hope that players would keep an eye on her future activities.

She is an enigmatic and quiet individual who acts towards her own goals. According to Maxima, she is a pure and honest person who judges others fairly. She treats both K’ and Kula Diamond as a little brother and sister.

Dolores’ presentation, and Team Rival is complete.

A revered hermit in the Hinterlands of Africa, Dolores has allied herself with Heidern. Her psychic medium capabilities allow her to contact the spirits of the earth, and she uses holy soil to combat her foes. Apparently one of the many resurrected through Verse, Dolores may hold the key to its secret, however her connection to it remains a mystery.

With the power of the Holy Soil, Dolores can control mud and rocks, being able to change its state and reshape it at will. During some of her moves, the earth spirit can be seen emerging from with the mud puddles.

Fighting Style

Dolores utilizes her ground-based powers in various ways, such as for teleportation, set-up moves and trapping her opponents, as well as being able to generate solid rocks in the form of stalagmites and boulders to crush the opponent.

Heidern is here!! The King of Fighters 15, badass!

Heidern is the commander of the Ikari Warriors, and issues orders to his adopted daughter Leona and his best soldiers: Ralf Jones, Clark Still and Whip. His official nickname is “General of the Soldiers of Fortune“and, in KOF XV, is “Hard-Boiled Assassin“.

Very calm and silent, Heidern’s personality was built because of the trauma of losing his eye and his family to Rugal. Although he hides his emotions through a veil of professionalism, he cares deeply for all of his subordinates, especially for Leona. Heidern is very strategic, especially when trying to stop a major threat, and has used his group Ikari Warriors to deal with such threats appropriately; he has been known to enlist mercenaries and free agents too.

Outside his sphere of acquaintances, he can be either confrontational, haughty or demanding on the skills of whom he comes up with, and doesn’t mince words to call out what he perceives as inferiority. He’s quick to praise competence and effort in fighting, however. Whenever he faces anyone he has encountered before (ie. acquaintances, allies, employees, subordinates or colleagues) in combat, he is rather respectful and recognizes their will to be strong.

Heidern is not above accepting help from others, even accepting the help and intel contribution of Adelheid Bernstein, the son of his enemy, the late Rugal Bernstein.

K’ trailer and Isla announced for The King of Fighters 15.

Kay Dash

K’ has a very serious and arrogant personality but is very easy to enrage due to his more high-strung side, though he is starting to treat Whip as a big sister and Kula as a little sister. He often calls Maxima names – like “stupid”, “idiot”, etc. – but he actually trusts his partner’s reliability. He is hardly polite and is always gruff, even to those close to him. Because K’ usually expresses his concerns in a “tough guy” manner, Maxima jokingly calls him dishonest or stiff. Because of this, K’ would often let Maxima handle any social necessities in his stead.

If there is something K’ hates above everything else it is to be compared with Kyo which often results of him being labeled the inferior Kusanagi, and because of that K’ started to have some sort of rivalry with Kyo. Believing that he is more than just a mere imitation of Kyo, K’ is always looking for a way to escape his fate as the “second Kusanagi flame”.

In KOF XIII, several fighters often point out K’s rather immature personality (“whiny”, lazy, anti-social and constantly rude to others) in their pre-fight dialogues against him. It is also pointed out he feels trapped in his life and is also rather very lazy and hates involving himself in most things he finds trivial, making him not unlike Iori Yagami in terms of nihilistic mindset (and the two ironically very much hate each other and are prone to nasty dialogue between one another for little reason).

He, of course, despite his disinterest to partake in the KOF tournaments, at times often boasts about his abilities to take on anyone anytime, anywhere, which is something not quite far off from his capabilities as he also finds engaging in tasks with expected results to be yet another chore. Much of his dislike of trivial things is likely due to the trauma of often serving as one of NESTS’s agents in regards to various shady assignments, as seen in his pre-battle dialogue against Daimon in XIII where he states “I have enough blood on my hands already”.

Spray paint cans, Amanda (her phantom floating hands)

Fighting style

Combo fighting with Amanda

Isla has a similar power to that of her rival, Shun’ei, though both hands are purple, in a similar vein to Iori Yagami’s Orochi-tainted flames. Though while Shun’ei’s hands are large and only show up during some of his special moves, Isla’s are relatively small and appear floating around her at all times, being heavily integrated into her gameplay, such as for double jump.

Fighting Style

Isla mostly avoids physical hands-on combat, as she keeps her own hands in pockets when fighting at all times. Instead, her main method of fighting is with her kicks and her floating hands named “Amanda“. She also uses spray paints as another type of weapon.
